A careful knocking at the door woke Jack up. Half asleep he got up.

"Who is it?" he asked.

"Jack? It's me Rose!"

Rose! At once Jack remembered all that happened last night. The sunset, him drawing her, and especially that car. He felt his stomach turning itself upside down, when his thoughts got into details.

"Jack? Are you there?"

Suddenly he got ribbed out of his thoughts by hearing Rose's voice.

"What?"

"Are you there?" she repeated.

"Uh, yeah, sure" he said, while opening the door.

As soon as she saw him, she threw herself in his arms. When their eyes met, Jack could tell that something wasn't right.

"Rose, what's wrong?" he exclaimed.

"I..., Jack...," she took a deep breath. "Jack, I've just cancelled my engagement to Cal. I've returned the ring and..."

Until this point she'd been standing close, looking seriously at Jack. Now she bursted into tears.

"You gotta help me Jack, Cal's thrown me out, I've got until 10 o'clock this morning to get my things and be out of there." Rose sobbed.

"Oh my God, why did you do that?" he replied.

"Last night I realized that I can't marry Cal. And I had to get it done sooner or later." she explained.

"And then he threw you out ?"

"That's right"

"But, where are you going to sleep?"

"I don't know, I don't have anywhere to go"

"Well, first of all let's go get you stuff, then we'll see what we can do. By the way, the ship docks within tomorrow, how much time have we got?"

"1 and a half hour."

"All right, let's go."

Jack took Rose's hand as they ran to Rose's room.

As breakfast was about to be served, there were many people on deck. When they were about to enter the room, the door was opened. In the door Rose confronted her mother Ruth.

"Well, well, well, who do we have here!" Ruth said "Isn't that my daughter and .... him?"

"Him is called Jack." Rose corrected her mother.

"And why is he here?" her mother wanted to know.

"To help me get my stuff." Rose replied."And if you do not mind I would like to get inside."

Her mother moved instantly, letting jack and Rose in.

"As you see, I have taken your clothes out of the closet and your suitcases is on your bed." Ruth told her. "I assume, I do not have to tell you that if you are leaving this room now, you are disinherited."

"I understand." Rose always used those words, when she was told something she did not really care about."By the way, you told me that there was nothing left."

Her mother didn't reply.

Rose started to pack her baggage, bringing only a few dresses, make-up, the kimono she wore when Jack was about to draw her. And then her wedding dress. She got it all reduced to only 2 suitcases. Then she and jack dragged off carrying one each.

They went to Jack's stateroom to put Rose's baggage for them to sit down and figure out what to do now. Fabrizio and the two Swedish guys had went for breakfast, so they had it "all" to themselves.
